Course settings allow you to design how the course will be accessed by learners.
These settings can be changed by Content Manager and Admin based on the course requirements.
Course settings include the following:
Delivery Mode - SeekLMS offers 4 delivery modes Self-Study (Open), In-Campus, Web-Conference & Blended. By default, the delivery mode is set to Self-Study (Open) which implies that the course is always open for enrollment.
Course Completion Rule - Course completion rule governs the criteria for finishing a course, it can be either based on an assessment plan or depend on various module completion criterions set for individual modules. By default, the Course Completion Rule is set to 'All modules must be completed as per module completion criteria'.
Course Traversal Rule - This setting allows course designers to control how a learner should traverse through the course. There are three options to select from:
Modules must be seen and completed sequentially based on completion criteria - In this, the modules unlock one by one sequentially after the module completion criteria of the current module are fulfilled.
Modules may be seen and completed in any order - For this setting, all the modules are unlocked all the time throughout the course.
Modules must be seen weekly - Weekly setting automatically unlocks one module as one week passes by post enrollment into the course.
Under default setting, modules must be seen and completed sequentially based on completion criteria.
Course Rating - Course rating allows you to request ratings from the learners in form of Stars or NPS (Net Promoter Score). You can opt for Star or NPS rating in the Course Settings. You can select when to ask for the ratings. It can be after:
Learner has spent a certain amount of time on course, or
Learner has progressed through given percentage of course content.
You need to opt which type of course rating you'd like to use as by default no rating is selected and it is set to 'none'.
Survey - Surveys allow you to collect data for several parameters like course performance, content quality, activity involvement, etc. By default, it is set to 'no'.
Learner's Access To Course Expires - You can also select till when the course is accessible to the learner. It can be set to -
When the course ends
Number of days after course ends or
Never.
The default setting allows the user to have access to the course till the course end date.
Display In Course Catalog - You can select whether the course should be displayed in the course catalog or not. By default, the course is not displayed in the catalog.
Discussion Forum - Discussions are enabled in default settings, this allows users to add questions in the forum and get responses from other users.
Certification - Here a certificate template can be assigned to the course. Certificates will be generated in this format once students have completed the course. Certificates can be auto generated for self study courses. For instructor led courses, certificates need to be manually generated by the coordinator or admin.
Course Pricing - This can be enabled from here. Pricing can be set for different delivery modes. The platform also supports Geo specific pricing wherein prices are set based on countries.
