How can I add a new course category?

Course Category can be added from the course overview tab in the course creation flow.  

Under the course overview, you can add a new category by simply clicking the Add button next to the Category. 

This includes: 

  1. Category title - The name of the category you are creating. If the category you are adding has subcategories you can check the checkbox 'Have Subcategory'.
  2. Code - You can include a Course Code for uniquely identifying the Course. 
  3. Description - Write a brief description of the category and save it. The category description field is optional here. 
  4. Click save and you'll be taken back to the overview section.

[Please note - The subcategories cannot be added if the option is not chosen while creating a category]

Categories can also be added by choosing ‘Courses’ and then ‘Categories’ from the side navigation bar.
